Instructions and Safety Information

We want you to get the most out of your beautiful wax melts, so here are some safety tips and usage information. Please read to ensure safe and effective use when using our products

    1. First and foremost, the number one rule is NEVER LEAVE AN IN USE MELTER UNATTENDED!

    2. Wax melts should only be used in appropriate melters which are suitable for wax melts.

    3. Ensure your melter is clean and completely dry before use. Regularly check for damage and cracks. Water and cracks in your melter can cause bubbling and spitting. Another cause of bubbling can be the wax getting too hot from being melted too long or the tealight may be the wrong size or too close to the bowl. This is another reason why it is important to ensure your melter is suitable for wax melts and not an oil burner, unless it is stated that it is safe for use with both. There needs to be a sufficient gap between the tealight and the bowl. We recommend a 4-hour tealight maximum.

    4. To use our wax melts simply break off a piece of your snap bar, snap your disc in half, or a generous piece of shattered wax (we recommend around 10-15g) and place in the well of your wax melter. Do not overfill and do not add water. Add your tealight underneath. Keep replacing the tealight until you can no longer smell the fragrance, but ensure you let your melter completely cool in-between. Do not move whilst lit and keep out of draughts.

    5. Our wax melts can also be used in electric melters. As with tealight melters, we recommend a melt time of 4 hours maximum. Electric melters also need time to cool down.

    6. To safely and effectively remove the used wax melt, you can either heat the cooled wax until the edges begin to melt, then gently apply pressure to one side until the wax slides out. Another method is to completely melt the wax and remove by soaking up the wax using cotton balls/pads, then dispose accordingly. It is important not to try and remove/dig the wax out using sharp objects. This may damage your melter as well as increasing the risk of injury. Do not use cleaning chemicals to clean your melter.

    7. The intensity and burn time of your wax melt will depend on a number of factors including room size, room temperature, amount of wax used and melter size. The bigger the room, the more scent it takes to fill. Ensure your windows are closed for best results.

    8. Please be assured that all our products are CLP compliant. Please check the product listing and packaging for allergen advice. Always keep away from children and pets.
